Maldives Island Hopping - 8 Days

Day 1

Upon arrival at Male Airport, collect your luggage and make your way through the airport to our local guide, who is waiting for you in the arrivals hall. Our guide will assist you with your transfer to Male and onto to your transfer to Dhiffushi. When you arrive in Dhiffushi, look for your guest house host. He will pick you up and transport you down the road to your guest house, which is located just across a small sandy road from the ocean. You will stay at Bibee Guesthouse (subject to availability).

Dhiffushi is a local island in North Male Atoll, roughly 1 km long and 250 m broad. A few local cafes, restaurants and dive shops make up the island life where days are well spent relaxing on the beach or floating in the ocean. Once you've checked in, you can enjoy your first warm night in the Maldives.

Day 2

Enjoy your breakfast, which is included in your package, and head out for a morning of snorkelling near Turtle Point - a local reef close to Dhiffushi. Head out at 09:00, enjoy a few hours of snorkelling, and be back just in time for lunch. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy as you like.

Days 3 & 4

Free time - relax by the beach, visit a nearby resort island or book a snorkel or dive excursion.

Day 5

Time to get up for an early breakfast followed by a short transfer to your next local island, Thulusdhoo. Thulusdhoo is a local island in North Male Atoll, known for its surf breaks and a great vibe across the island. Thulusdhoo is significantly bigger than Dhiffushi and we recommend you to explore the island for a great introduction to local island life. After arriving, leave your luggage at your guest house by the beach and head out for a second round of breakfast or coffee. If you still feel tired from waking up early, spend a quiet morning in one of the hammocks by the beach. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy as you like. Your accommodation is at Dream Inn.

Day 6

Free time to enjoy Thulusdhoo. If you’re an experienced surfer, try out the surf breaks, or take a walk along the coast line. In the afternoon, head out for an unguided sunset kayaking tour in the Indian Ocean. Kayak through the beautiful lagoon to a nearby sandbank, from where you can enjoy the sun set in the ocean.

Day 7

Free time - surf, dive, catch up on your reading in a hammock or sun chair.

Day 8

Wake up and enjoy your last breakfast on this paradise island before catching your transfer back to Male. If you are departing the Maldives today, make sure to leave enough room in your itinerary for the transfer to the airport. Local ferries can be delayed due to weather.

Frekari upplýsingar

The Maldives is a Muslim country and therefore care needs to be taken with regard to the dress code on the local islands. While it is acceptable for men to wear t-shirts and shorts or swim shorts, women should maintain a more conservative approach by wearing t-shirts, loose shorts or sarongs. The islands we visit are more tolerant of guests wearing traditional beachwear, however, women should avoid wearing bikinis and swimsuits on more public beaches. During the local island tours, where we may have access to mosques and family homes, shoulders and thighs should be covered out of respect for local customs.
